About Design Transformation

There's muesli, then there's muesli.  And the same goes for web design agencies.  Some are a bit flakey and others are bursting with colour and ideas.

Design Transformation is owned and run by me, Matt Janes.   After graduation from the University of Sheffield in 1995, I started my journey into design and marketing, working in advertising for BT.  Here, I was lucky enough to work with the very best creative people in London, Maurice Saatchi, David Abbott and Alfredo Marcantonio to name-drop three.  Working with talents such as these taught me how to create engaging ideas and how to bring them to life.

My experience in advertising acted as a natural springboard into web design.  To my mind, great web design is conceived through a single-minded, compelling creative idea.   This is perhaps where Design Transformation differs from other web design agencies.  We don't just dive straight into putting pen to paper (or hand to mouse).  The creative process begins with a thought, an idea, built upon the proposition of the client's business.  Only once this is born, do we go about bringing the idea to life through design.

I've been designing websites since 1998 and have also spent 6 years refining my skills in search engine optimisation.  For it seems a pity to spend time and effort designing a compelling website only for it not to be visited.  With Design Transformation, you therefore don't just get great design work.  This is supported by a practical, business focus, designed to make your business more successful through increased custom.
